On Saturday, Mitt Romney did what no other 2012 Republican presidential candidate has done: He won back-to-back primaries.
 

Nevada held its caucus over the weekend, and Romney won the state easily. He finished with 50.1 percent of the vote, followed by Newt Gingrich with 21.1 percent. Ron Paul and Rick Santorum finished in a distant third and fourth, respectively.
 

Winning in Nevada is nothing new for Romney. He won the Nevada caucus four year ago during his 2008 bid for the Republican nomination. Romney ultimately lost the nomination to Senator John McCain.
 

“This is not the first time you’ve given me your vote of confidence, and this time I’m going to take it to the White House,” Romney told supporters Saturday night.
 

Romney’s victory in Nevada gives his campaign some momentum, and it takes some away from Newt Gingrich.
 

After winning the South Carolina primary, Gingrich has lost in Florida and Nevada. But the former Speaker of the House promised his supporters that he’s in the race for the long haul.
 

“I am a candidate for president of the United States,” Gingrich said. “I will be a candidate of the President of the United States. I will go to Tampa.”
 

The Republican nominee will be made official at the Republican National Convention, which will be held in Tampa.
 

The candidates have little time to dwell on the Nevada results. Colorado, Missouri, and Minnesota will all caucus on Tuesday.
